5k warmup (35:05) then 10k race (1:05:08). Race was held over 5 x 2km loop. This was my first walk with new low-profile, soft orthotics. Took it a little easier because of the orthotics and because I wanted to see if I could avoid being DQed. Style was much better - I received only 1 yellow card - although perhaps might not pass at a national championship event.
Legs were tired and achy later in the afternoon. Went out for another 7.3km at a moderate pace. Legs were tired, but definitely felt better afterwards.
